We are working on developing a secure site with the shopping
cart ordering. However, at this time it is not ready. We ask you to fax (541 686-0910) or phone (800 548-0111) your orders to us.
For those of you who have your credit card information on file you can e-mail
your order to orders@greergardens.com.
PRICING: In the preparation of this catalog, we make every
effort to ensure that prices are accurate, but mistakes do occur. When placing
your order, we will notify you of any changes in the price of an item that you
are ordering, if we have the information at the time of your order. Any
significant differences in pricing will be verified with you prior to any
shipment.
As our costs change with both new orders and
reorders of plants through the year, we reserve the right to change
prices as warranted throughout the year. As time permits we will
change them online. It is a good idea to check the posting date at
the top of each section. The newest date will have the most currant
prices

SHIPPING INFORMATION

SHIPPING COSTS AND METHODS (PLANTS ONLY):
Shipments will be sent via FedEx Ground service unless otherwise specified by
client or the order does not meet FedEx Ground specifications. In some cases
we may use Priority Mail or other methods if another method is better. Due to
the weather conditions across the country and state of growth of the plants it
is sometimes necessary to deliver your order via air service. This usually
requires additional shipping charges. If you prefer to be notified before this
step is taken you must state so when placing the order.
The variable type of plant materials we ship makes
standardization of shipping charges very difficult. We apologize when in some
cases we can’t tell you exactly what your shipping charges will be until we
actually pack the plants. We have been shipping plants successfully for more
than 40 years and every year we find there are changes in which method works
best for transportation. We always try to send the plants by the least
expensive, yet best way we can. You can be assured we work hard to get the
plants to you by the best method for you and the plants. Fed Ex Ground service
shipments are transported by truck and will take approximately one working day
for each Fed Ex shipping zone you are from Eugene, Oregon. For example the
eastern US is in the 8th zone, therefore it will take approximately 6 to 8
working days to be delivered to your door. Plants are packaged accordingly to
arrive in good condition. We also can ship the plants by next day air, two day
air, or 3 day express air.
FED EX EXPRESS, AIR FREIGHT & OTHER AIR CARRIERS:
Sometimes it is necessary to arrange other methods of transportation with
orders that contain large size plants which Fed Ex Ground will not handle. We
have special contract terms with numerous carriers making their rates very
attractive. Which carrier is best depends on the size of the order and
where it is being shipped.
SHIPPING CONTAINERS: Unlike many nurseries we do not
use specific sized boxes, which gives us the flexibility to ship any number of any size plants in our custom designed boxes. We generally do not ship the
plants in pots, but wrap the roots in protective material, bracing them so
they are not damaged.
SHIPPING SEASON: Due to our mild climate and shipping
methods, we can ship year round according to your preference. Supplies are
generally sufficient to fill orders, however, crop failures do occur and
sometimes due to magazine articles or other publicity we can't foresee, the
demand for a plant will far exceed supply. Please remember with plants we
can’t just run back to the factory and manufacture more, and it may take 2 to
5 years before we can grow plants to a suitable size for supplying to your
garden.
PAYMENT: Full remittance must be submitted with order.
We accept money orders, checks and most major credit cards. If you elect to
pay with credit card, your order will be charged to your credit card at the
time of shipment. Sorry, No C.O.D. shipments. Any customer whose check is
returned to us for insufficient funds will be charged a $20.00 fee to cover
bank handling charges. Gift Certificates are not refundable for cash.
SHIPPING DATE: Unless you give us a specific date to
ship your order, we will ship at the appropriate planting time.
PROBLEMS & COMPLAINTS: Although we try not to make
errors, they occasionally do occur. We must be notified within 5 days of all
problems, shortages, etc. of receipt of order. We select and ship only quality
stock true to name. We pack them carefully to ensure they arrive in good
growing condition. If you are not pleased with your purchase please call our
Customer Service representatives who will be happy to help you. Your order is
important to us and we want you, our customer to be completely satisfied. our
job is to help you enjoy your plant growing experience. Please remember plants
do not always look their best on arrival and they may need time freshen up
after their trip. They also may be dormant or going dormant for the season.
With certain plants this may even be true in the spring or summer.
Please remember that we are dealing with live things that
occasionally fail despite our best efforts. Our guarantee applies only to
those plants that have failed due to a problem related to stress in shipping
or the quality of the plant. We do not replace plants that have failed due to
conditions beyond our control, such as possible neglect, extreme cold or heat
or lack of experience on the part of the planter. Our liability under this
guarantee is limited to the purchase price of the plant. We will replace the
item one time only or if unable to replace the plant we will issue a credit
memo good for the purchase amount of the failed item. Plants become your
property upon delivery to the transportation company. We cannot be responsible
for loss, damage or delay in transit. However, you must notify us immediately
upon receiving damaged plants. We ask that you keep the crate and plants
and notify your transportation company representative as to the nature of the
damage. Losses in transit are covered by the transportation company and in the
unlikely event there is a problem, we will work with you to be sure all claims
are paid and that there is no loss to you.
RETURN, REFUND POLICY: we do not accept returns
without a specific return number (SRN) which must be obtained before the
return is sent. All returns must be sent prepaid by the customer. Refund or
credit is at the discretion of Greer Gardens.
DELIVERY: order processing time varies with work load
and time of the year. At slower times, your order may be shipped immediately.
At peak periods, from the day we receive the order until it ships out can be
much longer. our orders are filled in the order they are received. Making a
change to an existing order will move that order back to the end of the list.
In most cases any changes will be treated as a new and separate order.
IT IS NOT OUR POLICY TO SUBSTITUTE varieties unless
instructed to do so by our customers. We will however, substitute sizes of the
same variety. Please include a list of substitutes whenever possible.

Shipping Charges for Books
SURFACE TRANSPORTATION
U. S. & Canada: Please add $5.00 postage & handling for the
first book, $3.00 for the second book $2.50 for each additional book.
For 2nd Day Air (U.S. only), $9.00 for first book, $6.00
for second, $4.50 for each additional.
For overseas surface delivery, add $7.00 for the first book and $4.50 for
each additional book.
